I have lived in Orlando for over 30 years with my adult son, with special needs, Daniel. We are natives of Texas. I am a graduate of the University of Florida with a bachelor’s in Journalism with an emphasis on Telecommunications and Special Education. I began Christian Counseling informally in 1983 and pursued my education and subsequently graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary with a master's degree in counseling in 1994. I am a registered Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Supervisor in Florida. As a professional therapist, I have counseled people from a variety of backgrounds for over 27 years in Orlando, Winter Park, Oviedo, Lake Mary and Apopka. I also hold a Certification in Life Coaching.
Daniel and I have traveled extensively in the US and abroad as military dependents. My formative years were spent in the Philippines and Germany. I have enjoyed travel to Guatemala, Africa and Kiev. On a recent trip to Paris, Daniel and I fell in love with the Eifel Tower and its’ historical significance. I continue to minister in the U.S. and in third world countries through missions’ outreach and conferences. I enjoy photography and reading. I am passionate about reaching out to families that have children, teens and adults with special needs and those populations that are underserved through our charity Daniel’s Gift.
As a therapist I specialize in individual, couples and family therapy, and maintains a private practice in Apopka. Even though I provide services from a faith based perspective, I enjoy working with individuals and families from all walks of life. Through the avenues of therapy/counseling, coaching and teaching in retreats, conferences in the U.S. and in third world countries we can reach hurting and bruised people with the message of God's hope from a foundation of Biblical truth. Dianne's therapy counseling comes out of a vision and hearts desire to minister hope, help through restoration and healing to those that are hurting.
